The sun was already shining when Allyx opened her eyes. She’s the type of person who is really lazy to get up but loves going to school. She’s not your typical high school girl who goes to school because of friends or because they want to get away from their family. Well, the family is one of her reasons but more importantly, she goes to school to learn and study. That is all. She loves reading and being inside the classroom discussing the things she had read.
Her alarm clock rang but she put it into snooze. Tired to get up, she covered her face with a pillow. After a few minutes, her alarm clock rang again. She checked the time and got up immediately. She ran to take a shower then put the clothes which were lying on her bed. She cleaned her room as quickly as she could before she went down to cook their breakfast.
After eating some, she fixed all her things for school. She wrote a note and left it on the refrigerator with a magnet on it. As she turned around to go out, she saw her step sister, Steffi. Although surprised, she felt uneasy by Steffi’s stare. Allyx was about to ask “what?” when Steffi yawned at her and said, “Good morning Al”. It was quite unusual because they do not talk.
Steffi is one of the school’s popular girls, so she doesn’t talk to regular girls like Allyx. She’s a member of the school Cheerleading Team, while Allyx is a member of the school Newspaper. That is one of their huge differences. Steffi is all fancy while she is one of the geeks. Not to mention their brain capacity differences.
Allyx was surprised by her step-sister’s sudden greeting that she couldn't respond immediately. She snapped out of her curiosity of what's happening.
“Wow. Did a prince charming appear in your dream?” Allyx said sarcastically as she puts her bag handle to her shoulder.
“Rude much? I was just being nice.”
“Well, that kind of attitude doesn’t suit you. Stick to the usual one.” Allyx responded as she walked towards the door.
Steffi turned around to face her, then yelled “You going to school?”
Allyx was a bit shocked with that response. She yelled with her isn’t-it-obvious tone, “No! Home! DUH?!”
“But you’re already home!”
“Oh boy” Allyx whispered to herself as she left the house.
Steffi’s stupidity annoys Allyx so much everytime because Allyx knows that her step-sister could be very smart if she would pay more attention to the lessons.
